Encouraging and promoting the skills of weaving, spinning & dyeing across Somerset

One of the oldest Guilds in the UK and a founding member of the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.

Our members meet in Somerset every month for social spinning, crafting and talks on spinning, weaving and dyeing. Everyone is welcome!

The Guild began with two ladies, known as the Quantock Weavers

Our Guild was 70 years old in 2019. Founded in 1949 by Misses Biddulph and Dickinson, at the first AGM in 1950 membership was reported to have grown from 33 to 113.
