A scene from last years fair

The Fleece Fair will take place at Hatch Beauchamp Village Hall near Taunton and offer hand-spinners the opportunity to purchase quality fleeces from local breeders.

Farmers/Smallholders with small flocks of Rare Breeds, Coloured Sheep and Alpacas have been invited to take part. To date 14 breeders have registered an interest, offering fleeces from 17 different sheep breeds, plus alpacas and angora goats (mohair) and a dyed fibre producer.

Many hand-spinners find it difficult to source quality fleeces close to home, particularly when wishing to spin coloured fleece and use the natural colour when designing their finished product.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day (tea, coffee and cakes) and light lunches (e.g. ploughman's). An entry charge of 1GBP will be made at the door.

Hatch Beauchamp can be found off the A358 Taunton to Ilminster road. For those using the M5 exit at junction 25, and from the A303 exit at the Ilminster roundabout. Please see our Map page for further directions.
